Talvir’s professional interests and clinical experience focus on working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety/OCD, depression, mood management, substance abuse, relationship issues, work-life balance, stress management, health and wellness, cultural identity issues, life transitions, and self-esteem.
Talvir is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. She uses an integrative approach that includes: strengths-based, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Client Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT skills, exposure work, and behavioral interventions to assist her clients in developing a stronger and more positive self-concept. She has experience working in inpatient, residential settings, and partial hospitalization programs with adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse and anxiety/OCD. Additionally, Talvir offers therapy sessions in other languages such as Punjabi, and has full comprehension of Hindi and Urdu, to provide added support and understanding.
Talvir strives to create a warm, non-judgmental environment in which clients feel understood and comfortable while exploring concerning topics and cultivating self-awareness and coping skills as they work towards creating positive changes.
